On the occasion of the seventy-fifth birthday of Abisag Tüllmann, the historisches museum is presenting the first major posthumous show of her work.Beginning with the metropolitan images of Frankfurt and photographs revolving around the political movements at the university, in the Westend district and at "Startbahn West" (the western expansion of Frankfurt airport), Tüllmann's chief concern was everyday life: workers and bankers, homeless people and children, immigrants and housewives stand for the contrasts characterizing the urban present.

What an outstanding photographer! I forgive you my ignorance, but Abisag Tüllmann was not familiar to me until now. My sincere thanks to Ulrike May and Horst Ziegenfusz for providing access to this small selection of Tüllman's work. At the historisches museum you will find more than 400 photographs on display. If in Frankfurt, the Abisag Tüllman exhibition is a must. - Mr Urbano

Just been there. And it blew me away. There's a depth to her photography that captures the viewer words can hardly describe. You can't escape once you saw it. Thank you for bringing it all back.

All the best & safe travels, Fritsch.
Great timeless pictures - hope to see them this weekend ;)
