Steffi Atze - Soulfood for the eyes.
I was born in 1969 in Wuppertal, Germany. I started to photograph very early but it just became a passion much later. The trigger to follow this passion was the birth of my 4th child. Primarily I tried to capture those very precious moments of growing up.
It changed my life irrevocably. Now I photograph every day nonstop!
I like motives with funny situations, with emotions, with conclusion, with fancy and unusal ideas. My favorite photographers are Doris Schwingenheuer , Ruth Kumpernatz, Kerstin Kuntze and many more.
Photography is a gift and an exciting journey to see through the different souls.
My favourite quote is from Charles Baudelaire:
"Photography is the deadly enemy of painting. It is the solution of all collapsed painter, the ungifted and the lazy ones."
When I first saw Steffis pictures I was pretty sure, that she must be a wonderful person - her photos show so much love for her "motives", wrapped in strong ideas, polished with professional treatment of each pixel.
Her portraits have got deep feelings inside mixed with a great sense of humour - soulfood for the eyes. In the meantime I get to know her a bit .... and yesssss! .... she is as wonderful as her pictures. Hope you like her work as much as I do.

it is a treat to watch these pictures
humour is not easy in photographs
Elliott Erwitt knew how to do it in some of his unforgettable snaps http://www.elliotterwitt.com/lang/index.html

:-)
Lieben Gruß, Andreas
