Vintage Photo Days - The Beginning!

I have had a very good response to the calls for entry, 114 photos supplied by 26 different people in various parts of the world. It has been fascinating seeing the images and reading the accompanying stories. As they are for the most part images that are closely connected with the family of the supplier, I have decided to keep them together rather than split them into different types of photos. Those that sent in the full ten images will probably have their pictures posted in two instalments to even things out a little.

Hope you all enjoy the show. I'm starting with what I think is the oldest image sent, from the second half of the 19th century:

A Union soldier from a glass negative I was given, by the photographer’s 101 year old grandson.

The building is the Spangler Brewing Company supplied by the same man from a good friend’s archives.

A funeral at St Patrick's Church, Spangler, Pennsylvania during World War 1 supplied years back by another old friend, long deceased.
All three images supplied by Larry Hammond from the United States.

these are treasures...good that they weren't lost and were passed on to someone who took care of them! Great beginning!
