Cinq jours en Février - Kresimir Kopcic
Last month I visited the marvelous city for the first time. Five days of doing nothing else but taking photographs, exploring the city streets, squares and parks, trying to avoid usual tourist spots. What I managed quite successfully.
Things I wanted to see don’t exist any more (I tried to visit spots known from the photos by Cartier-Bresson, Ronis, Doisneau, Boubat…), but there are so many areas that I discovered by chance, enjoying every second of it.
Although I captured quite a lot on my films, some things you just have to see, hear and feel: the vibrant city, talkative people, crowded metro trains, friendly waitresses and waiters (“magnific” shouted a waiter at cafe Danton at l’Odéon, after taking each order), smell from every boulangerie and patisserie I passed by… Nevertheless, those five days in February offered me less than just a glimpse on this Ville passionnante … Surely I’m coming back some time…

It's a beautiful series Kresimir present to us. Paris as seen by a first time visitor. It is a pleasure to see work by Kresimir Kopcic once more. I can still recall almost every picture from his excellent 591 exhibition "By the way".
