Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme was assassinated in Stockholm on February 28, 1986. The news sent shockwaves through the Swedish society and the drama continued for many years. The picture depicts Christer Pettersson who was convicted of the murder in district court but acquitted on appeal in 1989. This picture by Urban Brådhe was taken that year.
