This is the last picture in this display of some of my favourite portraits by Dorothea Lange. I will get back to other FSA photographers later on to have a look at how they portrayed the people of the great depression in USA. - Mr Urbano

Lange is a great favorite of mine as well. I gained new insight into her life and her work recently by reading Linda Gordon's fine biography, Dorothea Lange: A Life Beyond Limits. While the FSA gave Lange a great opportunity as a photographer, the government also distorted and suppressed much of the meaning that Lange intended for her images.
