Beach Days on 591 ~ Ken Stec

Ken Stec:
Every summer, I try to spend as much time on the beach as possible, frequently, as represented here, at Asbury Park, New Jersey. It opens my mind to what I consider beautiful and provocative in nature. The images presented here, though bold and formidable when photographed, are no longer in existence. Mundane strokes in the sand arise and fall common as waves: and what of the neighborhood houses that line the beach, and those who live in them? Coming and going, building and blowing away as sand: is there ever a chance to know all there is to know?

Thank you, Ken!

Kerstin, the beachgirl of 591

The photographs are beautiful and provocative as your words. Nature seems to change with out a fight. One day the sand looks smooth and another day deep tracks. Yet as humans we want to think we know all and fight change. . .

Beautiful images of the ephemeral... the sand may not look that way any more, but your photos won't change.
