"I'm beginning a new series of portraits inspired by Irving Penn's "Small Trades."  I am seeking people in uniforms.  I'll be shooting in different formats until I can settle on one.  I don't know if they will all be captioned or not, but my friend says (and I agree) that there is a sort of postmodern genius in naming an obvious thing.  Fingers crossed."  -William Schmidt
