"Je suis né le premier mai 1968 à Bordeaux" - I was born 1 May, 1968 in Bordeaux. Alain Laboile is not giving out much information about himself. But his pictures speak out loud and clear - dynamic, cinematic in every one of them you observe Alain's masterful handling of the light.
Photography means to write or paint with light - from Greek photos and graphos. Alain Laboile's occupation is sculptor and I would add that his photography is not only about writing or painting with the light - he is actually sculpturing the scenes that we watch in his frames. I am very impressed by his work and look forward to hold a full 591 exhibition this autumn with the works of Alain Laboile. - Mr Urbano
