Ortsteil Wedding

I happen to know that Jan Bernhardtz doesn't live in Wedding, but why not start the journey of exploring the world's neighborhoods and communities there? Jan has walked the streets of Berlin up and down for over a decade. I believe he knows Wedding, Kreuzberg, Neukölln, and Prenzlauer Berg almost as well as the back of his hand. 

His pictures of Berlin makes me think of Eugen Atget, a photographer from a different city, another time. Jan possesses the same tireless fascination with the past, the unseen. He has also developed what is known as subjective photography into something entirely his own. So, welcome to Wedding!
