The picture is everything

"I've been photographing negatives using my homemade device. Earlier this year, I decided that instead of paying expensive prices for scanning services, I bought a used macro lens and to date, I've taken pictures of negatives, which would have cost me a fortune for scanning at a lab. It's all about the effort, and for me, as a newly retired person, it's progressing step by step."

These are the words of Thomas Hellsten. I believe it's a commendable effort because what truly matters is that the pictures will be seen by others. While the internet has its downsides, I consider photographs showcased online to be a blessing. They often serve as a gateway, inspiring people to visit exhibitions, delve into photo books, and explore the rich history of photography.
