From the fifties until today teenagers have adopted consumerist criteria oriented by mass media. Obtaining consensus among peers has become a basic need of society: to be updated and popular with fashions.
Appearance refers to the dream of "appearing".
With this sentence I want to denounce the needs of our society only related to '"look" instead of the contrary "be".
