GO to the 591 Photography Spring Exhibition - The 80's ReinventedSpring is here or definitely on its way. We are proud to present the second major collective exhibition on 591. First of all - a big thanks to all of you who have sent suggestions of pictures for this show. We are very pleased with the overall quality of photos submitted and there are indeed some great photos that we were not able to include.
The working title for this project was "Born in the 80's" but as we have gone through the material over and over again, we found out that you actually have "reinvented" the 80's. There are clichés about every decade since the 1920's and some of them are probably true. However, we hope that you will get some fresh views of the 1980's by watching this exhibition. You will find pictures taken in the 80's, but also pictures taken by photographers born in the 80's and portraits of people born in that decade. You may call it a 3D vision of the 1980's.
A big thanks to all the authors of 591 who have provided us with valuable input and a special thanks to Vera Fehér who designed the sparkling, yellow poster.
Rhonda Prince and Ulf Fågelhammar (Mr Urbano)
have put this exhibition together
Note - Next Sunday we will start featuring all participating photographers of this show. If you feel that you want to share some more information about yourself or about your pictures, please feel free to do so. Email 80@591photography.com and we will be glad to include your additional texts or pictures for this feature.
For you who haven't participated in the 80's exhibition, the exhibition period is a superb opportunity for you to drench us with pictures concerning the subject. There are many rooms on 591PhotographyBlog you know.
